Subject: ICM and multiple hosts
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: Domino Server
Technical Area: Administration
Platform: Windows 2003 server
Release: 8.0.2
Reproducible: Always

Hi, I have some question regarding Clustering and ICM:

Notes cluster works fine
ICM on both servers
2 ip adresses on both servers

Round robin on www.domain.no in CNAME www1.domain.no
in CNAME www2.domain.no
Is it set up like this:

Server1:

Host name. server1.com.no
Cluster name: HRCLUSTER

INI settings

SERVER_CLUSTER_DEFAULT_PORT=TCPIP
Server_Availability_Threshold=30
TCPIP_TcpIpAddress=0,xxx.xx.xx.62
ICMPORT_TcpIpAddress=0,xxx.xx.xx.51

Servertasks=http,ICM.......

From Server doc:

TCPIP TCP HRCLUSTER server1.domain.no Enabled
ICMPORT TCP ICMDOMAIN1 xxx.xx.xx.51 Enabled

Host name(s): www1.domain.no
server1.domain.no
www1.thirddomain.no
www.customerdomain.no
www.testdomain.no
www.anothercustomer.no

Bind to host name: Enabled

All the domain on server 1 is connected to the same ip address

Server2:

Host names: server2.com.no
Cluster name: HRCLUSTER

INI settings

SERVER_CLUSTER_DEFAULT_PORT=TCPIP
Server_Availability_Threshold=30
TCPIP_TcpIpAddress=0,xxx.xx.xx.64
ICMPORT_TcpIpAddress=0,xxx.xx.xx.52

Servertasks=http,ICM.......

From Server doc:

TCPIP TCP HRCLUSTER server2.domain.no Enabled
ICMPORT TCP ICMDOMAIN1 xxx.xx.xx.52 Enabled

Host name(s): www2.domain.no
server2.domain.no
www2.thirddomain.no
travel.domain.no
www.anotherdomain.no
help.domain.no

Bind to host name: Enabled

All the domain on server 2 is connected to the same ip address

On both servers:
Cluster name: HRCLUSTER
ICM Notes port: ICMPORT
Configuration
Get configuration from: this server document
ICM hostname: www.domain.no
ICM HTTP Port Settings
TCP/IP port number: 80
TCP/IP port status: Enabled

Here is my problems:

Not able to bind multiple host names to only one ip address.

Is it possible to use ICM without using bind to host names?

I don't have more than 2 ip adresses on boths servers available.

If I use ICM:

18.11.2008 19:43:07 ICM Server: Another application is already listening on port 80:
18.11.2008 19:43:07 ICM Server: Started

Why is ICM in conflict with port 80?

Is it possible to have multiple domain on the same server and IP that also use ICM?

Thanks for help.

Regards,

Gunleif Ræg
